There are a few questions I am asked countless times (sometimes per day) that usually fall into three of the following categories:
Energy (aka finding GREAT energy)
Diet (specifically what to eat before and after workouts, and how to eat for quality energy with little time)
I have to be honest, anyone who knows me knows I am all about efficiency and how to get the MOST out of life with the least amount of wasted resources.
Daily I am also contacted by all kinds of brands looking for me to review or endorse their product. This is something I am highly skeptical about, so I want to preface this review by adding that when I review something I will always give you my honest, NO BS, no frills thoughts – you may or may not agree, but these are my thoughts – I’d love to hear yours.
About a month ago, Premier Proteincontacted me asking if they could send a package of their products for me to taste and review. I have ‘tasted and reviewed’ many protein brands, with none winning me over, but said what the heck – can’t harm to try. So I did.
Well, let me tell you Premier Protein was different (hence this review). Read on to learn about my new love!

First off, I advocate my clients to keep a high protein diet with low sugar AND try to get more protein and energy for less calories. That was the first thing that turned me on – high protein, low sugar and low calorie – what could be better?
I’m personally NOT a shake girl- but these shakes actually TASTED DELICIOUS – no chalky aftertaste and KEPT me full.

Too Good to Be True CRISP bars: I definitely go through ‘phases’ when it comes to my ‘go-to’ snacks, and being constantly on the go and needing lots of energy – my ‘snacks’ are super critical. I need high energy snacks that ALSO replenish my body and muscles. My latest phase has lasted over 6 months and I’m all about BARS! Yes, there is something ‘treat-like’ about a bar – like being a kid with a candy bar – not to mention how easy they are to grab, throw in bags, etc. NEVER is there an excuse for ‘not enough time’, thanks to bars!
However, quality and taste varies widely and I don’t want to be putting the equivalent of a candy bar in my body all day long.
So, reading the nutrition info on the CRISP bars, I thought ‘yah right, these are too good to be true, I’m sure they taste horrible’… I was wrong. I especially could not get enough of the chocolate mint flavor!
Good bye boring raw nuts (not to mention the fact that a serving of nuts does not even compare in amount of protein AND carries way more fat and calories).
It’s official – my morning post-workout snack is either a protein/muscle replenishing vanilla or chocolatePremier Protein shake and my mid-afternoon ‘pick-me-up’ (and treat I look forward to) is a (usually chocolate mint) CRISP bar along side a quality almond milk latte.
My energy has never been better, my workouts have never been stronger, and my fitness is peaking.
