Cardio Kickoff Workout

Alright ARfit-bies – this is IT! Our cardio kickoff workout! The very FIRST workout in the Summer Swimsuit Shape-Up Challenge. I’m warning you, this is a HIGH INTENSITY workout, it’s NOT for the faint of heart. 

If you really want to make change happen, you need to put the work in, the true effort, throw your limits out the window and get into it. People always see the glory, they never see the work that goes on behind-the-scenes. I’m telling you, every worthwhile success involves true effort, time, sacrifice – BUT this is for YOU, for your LIFE – it is worth it – let’s DO IT! What You Need: Stopwatch or Timer (My favorite timer because you can easily set it to time your intervals is the GYMBOSS INTERVAL TIMER – click to purchase, you will get so much out of this little investment – I promise)!

The Workout:

8 Exercises – 1 minute each exercise with 30 seconds to transition/recover/catch your breath!

Go through all 8 exercises, take a short water break and come back and repeat the series 1 more time!

  • Running on Spot
  • Side Step-Jump (fast feet)
  • 1 Hop Forward+ 2 Hops Back
  • Downward Dog Barrier Jump
  • Jumping Jack-Squats
  • Running Butt Kicks
  • Side Kicks (30 seconds each side)
  • Jumping Front Kicks

Repeat whole set one more time – go after it!

Total Time: 24 minutes

Note: If you are new to my workouts (or exercising in general) and you need more time for recovery, that’s OK. The key is that you come back to it – you are still getting the same benefits. The more you do it, the better you get (along with the more FIT you get – yahoo!)
