Tress Taming Tip

Details
Published: Sunday, 16 February 2014 22:37

Let me just start this off with a little disclaimer of sorts.

I love being a woman. There are so many amazing things about being a girl that I would never trade for the world.

But one thing I wish I could trade with the boys is the amount it time it takes to get ready everyday. I mean how jealous does it make you that your significant other can get ready in ten minutes flat for a big date, while us ladies have to shower, shave, blow-dry, straighten or curl our hair, apply makeup, choose the best outfit (and shoes and accessories), all while staying sane and making sure we're not late?

Of course, the exterior is not what truly matters, but part of what makes us feel confident is looking our very best.

It can be stressful, but like I said, I wouldn't have it any other way. I mean after all, I wouldn't have this amazing fit, strong, and sexy sisterhood if I were not the woman I am.

Anyway, since we all know what it's like to rush around trying to get out the door looking presentable, I thought I would make it a bit easier for you by sharing one of my favorite tips.

No matter how much product you put in your hair, or how much you straighten it, split ends cannot be hidden (and they'll only get worse the more you fry them with heat tools!). They can make even the prettiest and most time consuming of hairstyles look sloppy and unkempt.

So, here is how to treat your split ends once and for all!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Directions:

  • Mix the honey, egg yolk, and olive oil well.
  • Carefully spread the mixture on the ends of your hair.
  • For even better results, put some aluminum foil around the ends of your hair.
  • Leave it on for about 30 minutes.
  • Shampoo as usual.

How did your hair look and feel after using this simple, natural treatment? Do you have any other tips to share with us? Post them below - we'd all love to hear them!

Love,
